Clinton-Rudy Cordon, 68, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, December 15, 2024.
Rudy is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Vilma Cordon; their daughters Monica Cordon and Jennifer Cordon, his grandson, Ayden Allen-Cordon, whom he adored dearly; all four-legged family members, Luna, Lucy, Ricky, Mia, Leo, and Nico; two sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Rudy was born in Zacapa, Guatemala to the late Felix Cordon and Olivia Ramirez. He immigrated to the United States, settling in Clinton in 1985. A hardworking man who took pride in his work, Rudy had a long career as a machine operator at Bemis Associates in Shirley, MA, before medically retiring in 2009 after a severe stroke left him disabled. A true cowboy at heart, Rudy enjoyed watching old movies, listening to music, refining his shooting skills at shooting ranges, spending time with friends playing poker, trying new foods, and spending time at the Clinton Fish and Game.
A stubborn, complicated man with a big spirit and even bigger heart. Rudy was a jokester who always used his witty sarcasm to make others laugh and took the time to lend a helping hand to those in need.
A calling hour will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 10 until 11AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 11AM in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. Burial will be in Reservoir Pines Cemetery, Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Rudy Cordon to: Joslin Diabetes Center, Office of Philanthropy, 529 Main Street, 4th Floor, Charlestown, MA 02129.
