Rudy Hernandez Obituary
Rudy Hernandez, 61, of Lubbock, Tx, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 26. He was born on November 30, 1961, in Plainview, Tx, to Fransico "Frank" Hernandez and Evengelina (Franco) Hernandez.
Rudy had a never ending passion for all things baseball. From playing the sport, watching, and attending games, to being an umpire for many local teams and high schools for several years. Rudy had many accomplishments and achievements in his life but none so more than when his son Keith was born, becoming his pride and joy. Only passing the torch on when Keith gave him the wonder gift of grandchildren.
Rudy is survived by his son Keith Hernandez of Lubbock, Tx; mother Evengelina Hernandez, of Lubbock, Tx; brother Fransico Eloy Hernandez of Lubbock, Tx; sister Diana Hernandez of Lubbock, Tx; grandchildren Justin Hernandez, Jordan Hernandez, Haylee Hernandez, Avery Hernandez, and Brooklynn Hernandez; one great grandchild Maverick Hernandez; and his beloved yorkies KiKi and Little Rudy aka "Roo Roo".
He is preceded in death by his father Frank Hernandez.
Cremation services are under the direct care of Combest Family Funeral Home.
