Rufus Guthrie Obituary
Rufus was the son of the late Major and Lucille Guthrie. He owned and operated his family business, Guthrie Hardware, for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed flying planes and spending time at the lake.
He is survived by his wife, Joann W. Guthrie; step-children, Katherine Nelson (Bradley), John Tracy Wyrick (Pamela), Tonya Bakker (Hans), Lane Raber (Mike), and Kent Walsh; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Sara Houston, Jean Allison, and Jane Brophy; nieces and nephews; special friend and caregiver, Cortney Rucker.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Monday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 until 1. Rufus will be laid to rest next to his parents in West Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
