He is survived by his sister, Rebecca Lambert (Billy); nieces, Joann Taylor (Jason) and Jane Owensby (Calvin); nephews, Chuck Haskins (Trisha) and Jamie Young; and best friends Rev. Brenda Dedmon, Decatur, Al, Chuck Henry, Asheville, NC and Bobbie Proctor, Acworth, GA
In addition to his parents, Rufus is predeceased by a brother, Carol Haskins, Jr.; and sister, Donna Young.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 Am Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Crooked Run Baptist Church in Winnsboro. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the committal in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Rufus' memory to Southeast Corgi Rescue or
Crooked Run Baptist Church, 7978 State Highway 269, Winnsboro, SC 29180.
