Rufus Heading Obituary
Kenny is a true county boy at heart and always willing to lend a helping hand to everyone. He loved spending time and conversing with his friends, and he enjoyed spending a lot of his time outside. Kenny enjoyed driving his truck and doing yard work. He also had a passion for turkey target shooting. Kenny was a very accomplished builder, specializing in decks. He retired from Durham County Public Schools after many years of faithful service in the Maintenance Department.
Kenny is survived by his life companion of 51 years, Sue Wheeler; special daughter, Jennie Logner; and many special nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be announced soon.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Duke HomeCare & Hospice at Hock Family Pavilion: 12 Moore Dr., Suite 200, Durham, NC 27713.
