Rufus Lowery Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. Rufus Howard Lowery, age 90, will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the Hunt Funeral Home Chapel. His celebration of life will be officiated by Bro. Roger Utter. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Lowery, a retired factory employee, was born in Gibson County on April 20, 1933, and passed on November 7, 2023, at Milan General Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Howard and Lena Cantrell Lowery and his brother, Lynn Everette Lowery.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Lowery of Bradford; two daughters, Tricia (Gary) Bodine of Dresden and Charlotte (Tater) Hall of Bradford; one son, Mike (Susie) Lowery of Bradford; seven grandchildren, Kristy Jo (Timmy) Meggs, Josh (Jamie) Fisher, Jake (Jenea) Fisher, Nicole (Kevin) Mayo, Brandon (Ashley) Bodine, Bradley (Jessie) Bodine, and Amber Lowery; eight great-grandchildren, Hannah Mayo, Blane Fisher, Katherine Meggs, Aly Mayo, Josie Fisher, Carson Meggs, Brody Bodine, and Bailee Bodine.
Pallbearers: Brandon Bodine, Bradley Bodine, Josh Fisher, Jake Fisher, Timmy Meggs, and Kevin Mayo.
Honorary Pallbearers: Blane Fisher, Brody Bodine, and Carson Meggs.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
