- Rufus Frank Webster, age 62, resident of 103 Wells Street, Kings Mtn. NC died June 30, 2007 at Carolina’s Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC. He was son of the late Frank Victor Webster. He was also preceded in death by sister Linda Leigh. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. NC where he sang in the choir. He loved hunting and was a former member of the Indian Trail Hunting Club. He loved gardening. He was a former employee of Winn-Dixie, Charlotte, NC. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam war.

Mother: Audrey Bridges Webster, Kings Mtn. NC
Brothers: Claude Webster and wife Debbie, Kings Mtn. NC
Larry Webster and wife Cathy, Grover, NC
Sisters: Wanda Beaver and husband Tom, Locust, NC
Aileen Horton, Spartanburg, SC
2 Grandchildren: Michael Webster and Katelyn Harris.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Bethlehem Baptist Church, Tuesday, July 3, 2007 3:00 P.M. Rev. David Blanton, officiating.
VISITATION: 1:30 – 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, July 3, 2007 prior to the service.
INTERMENT: Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC

Please accept my sympathy for your loss. I was in the service with Rufus and shared a room with him and John Vaughn for several years! He and I also worked together at the bowling alley on base. He was a dedicated crew chief on the flight line and was the first of our group to get promoted to E-4. I am truly sorry we lost touch over the years. He was a good man !
