It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rufus Williams, born on June 3, 1968, who departed this life on October 18, 2025. A lifelong resident of Pembroke, GA, Rufus was known for his kindness, humor, and the knack for fixing things, most notably small engines.
Rufus leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his father, Rufus Williams, Jr. of Pembroke; his three siblings, Keith Williams and wife Kassie of Ellabell, Angela Vickers of Pembroke, and Wade Williams of Pennsylvania. Rufus was also a beloved uncle and cousin, having numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will deeply miss him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Aldrich Williams, and his grandparents, Nell and Charlie Aldrich, and Cassie and Rufus Williams, Sr., all of whom undoubtedly welcomed Rufus into their eternal embrace.
A proud member of the Monterey Park Church of God, Rufus was a man of faith who lived his beliefs through service and compassion. He was often found working on small engines, where he excelled at getting lawnmowers started when no one else could. Fishing was also a passion of his, as was the simple daily routine of fetching the mail—no one was allowed to beat him to this task.
No services are scheduled at this time. We ask that you remember his life, filled with warmth and laughter, has touched many, and his spirit will long endure in the hearts of those who knew him.
Rufus Williams will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
