Russel Joseph Earl, 58, of Barnard, Missouri, passed away at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri, on Monday, September 8, 2025, with family at his side.
Russel was born on June 13, 1967, in Springfield, Illinois, to Russel Henry and Elizabeth Louise (O’Connor) Earl.
After Russel graduated from Lanphier High School in Springfield, Illinois, he joined the United State Marine Corps. He returned to the Maryville area in 1992.
He attended the Wilcox United Methodist Church.
Russel was involved in the Boy Scouts, and was a leader at Boy Scout Troop 68, in Graham, Missouri. He was an honorary member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He was a proud cheer dad, always cheering with the Platte Valley cheer leaders from the stands.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on his trucks, and could fix almost anything.
Russel did concrete work with Curt Schafer Construction, Barnard.
He also enjoyed time with his family and friends, and was looking forward to his first granddaughter.
His father preceded him in death, as well as both sets of grandparents: David and Sylvia O’Connor, and Herbert and Nora Earl.
He is survived by his wife, Wendi, of the home, his children, Alec Earl, Allyson (Harley) Haley and Abigail Earl. Also by his mother, Elizabeth (Russell) Joslin, Maryville, and his siblings, Steve Earl, Maryville, Rusty (Jennifer) Joslin, Hiawatha, April (Tony) Glass, Altoona, Donna (Alan) Wiederholt, Maryville, and Ashley (Dan) Feldhacker, Maryville, his mother-in-law Linda Allen, his father-in-law Donnis (Jane) Allen, all of Maryville, sister-in-law Kristi (Andrew Hinshaw) Allen, Witchita, KS, very close friends Chris and Becky Lance and family and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Russel has been cremated under the care of the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.
The family will receive friends at the Bram Funeral Home, on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 5-7:00 PM.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Bram Funeral Home.
