Russell A. “Russ” Basile, age 70, of Glenolden, PA, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2020.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Russell M. and Josephine (nee Nicolella) Basile.
Russ was a music therapist both at Don Guanella, and in his later years at geriatric centers. He loved to make music with his band, “Sounds of Distinction.” He was also a friend to all animals and loved them dearly.
Russ was the beloved husband of Patricia (nee McCloskey) Basile; the loving father of Kara Sawyer; the devoted and loving grandfather of Madeline Cucchi, Grace Cucchi and Brandon Cucchi.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at 11:00 AM at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Avenue, Morton, PA 19070, 610-544-0600. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to Humane Society of Pennsylvania, 350 E. Erie Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19134 would be appreciated.
