Services for Mr. Russell Eugene Boyette Sr. will be held Friday, September 22, 2023, 1:00 p.m., at Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-North with Bro. Jack Kern officiating. Interment will follow at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Boyette, 87, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Diversicare.

Russell retired from The United States Navy after nearly 20 years of service. He then went on to work at The United States Postal Service, where he also retired after 20 years. He enjoyed working outdoors and tinkering on his vehicles. However, his favorite thing to do was spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, and loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Frances Boyette; sons, Russell “Rusty” E. Boyette Jr. (Dennese) and Bobby F. Boyette (Tammy); grandchildren, Neil James, Michele Stewart, Sarah Baldwin, Christopher Boyette, and Stephanie Anderson; several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Lessie Boyette; a brother; and three sisters.

Pallbearers will include Eddie Partridge, Tim Partridge, Scott Tisdale, Joe Ramia, Jay Graham, and Steve Hughes.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Russell’s memory.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
