Russell R Bridges Sr., 85, of Corriganville passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Devlin Manor.
Born to Marilyn and Russell Bridges on December 30, 1939. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers; Samuel, Ronald and Roger; sister, Coleen.
He was a member of St. George Episcopal Church. He was also a member of the Barrellville Outdoor Club as well as the Democratic Club.
Surviving are his wife loving wife of 65 years, Shirley (Simpson) Bridges; children, Pam Stevens and Rusty Bridges; grandchildren, Hope Hampton husband Garrett and Jesse Stevens fiancé Veronica; brothers, Cecil wife Doris, Donald wife Anna, John wife Maria, and James wife Teddie; sister-in-laws, Sandy Swanger and husband Vernon, Dawna Simpson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 10:00 - 11:45 am. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon, at St. George Episcopal Church with Rev. Dr. Marsha Spain-Bell.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
