Russell Goodwin Obituary

Russell Ausmond Goodwin, 67, of Beaver, Utah passed away peacefully in his sleep after a year battle with cancer.

Russell was a loving father and son. His greatest joys were his children and grandchildren. He loved working in his yard, tending to his garden, hunting, and spending time in the mountains. In his younger years Russell was an avid water skier and loved spending weekends in the summer with his children and friends at the lake. He took pride in every vehicle he ever owned, keeping them in pristine condition. He loved sharing his knowledge of vehicles with his grandchildren. He also loved bbqing, telling stories and listening to music on his back deck. He was known for his quick wit, strong work ethic, and stubborn spirit that he proudly passed onto his daughters and grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters Daidree Thompson, Chantell (Sheb Davie) Strong, and Mashaun (Christopher) Hilsman, his cherished grandchildren whom he loved immensely and brought so much joy and purpose to his life Jagen, Madex, Taiya, Shihl, Scottlynn, Emma, Lynndin, Harlow, Dawsyn, and Kane.

Russell was proceeded in death by his mother Anna Lou Walbeck, father Claude Goodwin, his beloved brother Raymond, and his son-in-law Christopher Thompson. His family knows the reunion was a special one.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 4:00 pm, in his backyard. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the love and laughter that Russell brough to all who knew him. Casual attire is welcome. In lieu of flowers, please bring a memory that you can share.
