Michael Smith

On Sunday December 21st, 2025, Michael William Smith returned to his Loving Heavenly Father's arms. He was born February 18th, 1952 to Clark and Carol Smith in Beaver, Utah. He grew up a true Beaver Boy, working on the farm, hunting rabbits and deer, and riding dirt bikes and snowmobiles. His best friend was his brother John, and they did everything together.

Mike served in the National Guard, as well as a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

It took him a while to find the perfect girl, Jinyce Bettridge, whom he married in the St. George Temple on January 10th, 1987 for time and all eternity. They have 3 children, Quinton (Lynn), Autumn (Tony), and Jared.

Mike spent his life farming and helping others, both physical service as well as sharing his knowledge. He was active in his church, and had a strong testimony of his Savior. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and he loved animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Garth and John. He is survived by his wife, 3 children, 8 grandchildren, brother Ben (Linda) Smith, sister Julie (Randy) Davis, brother Ed (Debbie) Smith, and sister-in-law Susan (John) Smith.

A viewing will be held Monday, December 29, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Beaver 3rd Ward LDS Church (220 N Main St, Beaver, UT). On Tuesday, December 30, 2025 there will be a viewing from 9:00-10:30 am and a funeral service at 11:00 am also at the Beaver 3rd Ward LDS Church.
