Russell E. "Mick" Howdyshell

Russell "Mick" Howdyshell of New Straitsville Ohio passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025 in his home surrounded by family and his dog Scruffy.
He was born September 18, 1937 in Junction City, Ohio to the late Walter and Zella Nutter Howdyshell.
He was a member of the New Lexington Baptist Church, and owned and operated R & D Hilltop Lumber Company along with his family.
He is survived by his wife Polly (Jones) Howdyshell; daughters, Robin Azbell, Michelle (Jerry) Wilson, Amy (Kevin) Risch; sons, Rusty (Angie) Howdyshell and Roger (Lori) Howdyshell; 10 Grand Children and 16 Great Grand Children; Sisters Dorothy Sidwell, Mary Shonkwiler, and Betty Groshon; sister- in- law, Shirley Howdyshell and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents preceded in death by sisters, Nancy, Helen and Barb; brothers, Joe, Henson and Dave.
Calling hours will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm with the funeral service at 1:00pm with Pastor John Emory officiating on Friday, February 21, 2025 at New Lexington Baptist Church, 890 South Main Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
Burial will follow at New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
