It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Russell Sheppard, who left this world on November 28, 2025, at the age of 47. Born on October 7, 1978, Russell brought light, generosity, and steady kindness into the lives of all who knew him.
Russell was a man defined by compassion. He had a gift for making people feel welcomed, supported, and understood. Whether offering a helping hand, sharing laughter, or quietly putting others first, he lived with a sincerity and warmth that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Friends knew him as loyal and dependable; family remembers him as someone who loved deeply and gave freely.
Russell worked in security, a role that fit his protective nature and steady presence. Outside of work, he had a profound passion for animals. His compassion extended to every creature, and he especially adored his fur babies, Olivia and Sage, who brought him comfort, companionship, and joy.
He is survived by his father, John; his sister, Janeen; his nephew, Joshua; Joshua's fiancée, Ella; his niece, Jasmine; his great-nephew, Kingston; his Uncle Bob; his Uncle Paul and Aunt Irene; his Uncle Glen and Aunt Evelyn; cousins; and countless friends whose lives were touched by his kindness and generosity.
Russell's gentle spirit, warm heart, and generous nature will forever live on in the lives he touched. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made-and the love he shared-will continue to shine brightly through those who knew and loved him.
