Anne and cousins,
As my Dad has written we only found out yesterday about Russell's passing. My deepest sympathy for your loss. In my memories I will always remember Russell's soft smile, so like my grandfather Arthur's. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Anne, Maryanne, Alice, Darlene, Kathy and Russ,
I did not learn of Russell's passing until just yesterday and am sorry to have missed his funeral.
I remember meeting Russell and you Anne when I visited your home with Pr. Leslie Burns and your eventual entrance into the old Christian Alliance Church. As you know I was married to your cousin Violet,(of blessed memory). Russell, as you know, was a hard working man and dedicated to his family. He also proved to be devoted to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ whom he has no doubt gone to meet. He will, I am sure greet Violet there too.
Please accept my sincere condolences and late acknowledgement and know that you all are in Ellie's and my thoughts and prayers. God's Peace,
Dick

Dad, I have always been proud of you.
Watched you work hard, provide for us and most of all love mom with abandonment. This year marked a milestone. Your commitment to mom, 70 years of marriage. We didn't get to celebrate because you were In the hospital but none the less, you were and still remain my hero and mentor, for your commitment and never ending or wavering commitment to us and her. God gave me the best father to be my dad. Thank you for giving me the truth of salvation in Christ. I am so proud to carry the Thorgerson name. I will continue to be the man you raised me to be. If I could be half the man you were, my life would be complete. I will always love you dad. I could never thank you enough. Enjoy the promises of eternity and i cant wait till you show me around.
Forever Grateful,
-Russ
