Rustie Lee Christian, age 40, passed away at home March 5, 2026. Rustie was born to Rodney Hunt and Melinda (Christian) Detillion March 18, 1985 in Bucyrus Ohio. Rustie was married to the love of his life, Shannon (Porter) Christian whom he was with for nearly 25 years.
Rustie was preceded in death by his son, Braxton Christian and grandparents, Bonnie Christian, Donald Christian, Frank Messer, and James Hunt.
Rustie is survived by his wife, Shannon Christian; parents, Rodney (Stacey) Hunt and Melinda (Brian) Detillion; grandparent, Roxanne Messer; children, Jordan (Jada) Christian, Gavin Christian, Naudia Christian, Arabelle Christian; siblings, Natasha Schoffner, Brittany Hunt, Jacob Hunt, Alexis Christian; parent-in-laws; Tony Porter and Diane Kerns; sister-in-law, Shelby Porter; brother-in-law, Shawn Porter.
Rustie was very mechanical minded, he enjoyed working on cars, and attending car shows. He could do just about anything he set his mind to, and was known for always being there to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed taking vacations with the family, going camping, and going fishing. He loved cooking dinner at home, and spending as much time as he could with his family, his family was the most important thing to him.
Services are at Munz-Pirnstill March 13, 2026 at 6PM. Friends may come one hour prior to the service from 5PM-6PM. There will be a repass service in Bucyrus at the VFW post 1078 on March 13th immediately following the service. Memorials may be made through the funeral home. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.munzpirnstill.com.
