Ruth Ann Baker, age 78, of Lexington, widow of Timothy Warren Baker, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Hospital. She was born on August 16, 1947, in Lexington, the daughter of the late James Thomas and Mary Margaret Mulligan McNeese.

Ruth was a wonderful mother and helpful person who loved doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.

She is survived by: two daughters, Teresa (Brent) O'Hair of Wolfe County, and Melissa (Paul) Curry of Nicholasville; five granddaughters, Brittany (Jake) Davey of Wolfe County, Bridget O'Hair of Lancaster, Alisha (Zack) Stanley of Lincoln County, Courtney Kuiper of Toledo, OH, and Miranda (Tyler) Wynnik of Toledo, OH; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty (Ed) Huddleson of Colorado; and a brother, Billy McNeese of Lexington.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a daughter, Susie Dailey; and two brothers, Tommy McNeese, and Jerry Ingram.

Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Rd. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at The Lexington Cemetery.
