Ruth Ann Beck

Ruthann Beck, 81, of Indian Land, South Carolina, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at Agape Care hospice house March 14th, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family.

Ruthann grew up in Niagara Falls, where she met her high school sweetheart, Ronald. They married on August 14, 1964, beginning a loving partnership that endured for nearly six decades. Together, they owned and operated several businesses, including Beck's Transmission and Niagara Frontier Services.

Ruthann dedicated 50 years to her work as a medical secretary in Niagara Falls, supporting various physicians with her professionalism and steady presence. She was also certified by New York State and the Environmental Protection Agency in environmental business, a reflection of her commitment to learning and service.

A woman of deep and abiding faith, Ruthann's beliefs guided her throughout her life. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering trust in God brought comfort to those around her and carried her through life's challenges with grace. In her final days, the family is profoundly grateful for the compassionate care and support provided by hospice, whose dedication allowed Ruthann to remain at home until her last days, surrounded by dignity and love.

Ruthann is lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

In addition to her husband, Ronald, she is survived by their three daughters: Dauna Burns; Karri Beck (Gary); and Anna Marie Forrest (Jack). She was blessed with 11 grandchildren-Jacqueline Crossman (Dillon), Kevin Paul Elledge, Jonathan Elledge, Nicholas Burns, Brittany Cramer (Erick), Alexis Nichols (Dave), Justin Nichols, Bianca Butera (James), Joey DeMunda, Chase Forrest, and Jason Forrest-and was blessed with five great grandchildren that she dearly loved: Emma Cramer, Benjamin Cramer, Joseph Butera, Mia Butera, and Logan Haim. She is also survived by her beloved brother, Lester Arthur (Kathy), as well as several nieces and nephews. Ruthann was further supported by many close friends who lifted her in love and prayer throughout her health journey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Marjorie Arthur, and her sister, Cynthia Lin.

A private family gathering to celebrate Ruthann's life will be held at a later date. For those who wish to honor her memory, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice, whose compassionate care meant so much to her.
