Ruth Ann Beckelhimer

RICHLANDS – Ruth Ann Beckelhimer, 67, of Richlands was born on September 23, 1957, at the US Naval Hospital, Camp Lejeune, NC. Ruth Ann died on February 7, 2025, at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Onslow County. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home, Richlands Chapel with Pastor Sami Johnson officiating. A reception will follow at 228 Huffmantown Road, Richlands.
Ruth Ann was a dedicated mother, Special Education teacher at Jacksonville Senior High School and Richlands High School. She was a strong advocate for children/people with special needs. She was a National Board-Certified Teacher who loved working with children. Her annual gingerbread house building activity with her students was a favorite activity that brought other teachers and students to her classroom to admire the creations of her students. Ruth Ann was active in Our Savior Lutheran Church youth programs and Girl Scouts. Ruth Ann will be long remembered as a compassionate mother and loving wife. Ruth will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Raymond L. Davis, Sr. and Ruth E. Sanders Davis.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Hartwell Beckelhimer; daughter, Anna E. Beckelhimer Russo of Oceanside, CA; sister, Robin Leigh Davis of Richlands; brothers, Raymond Lenoard Davis, Jr. of Orlando, FL and Richard Allen Davis of Winchester, VA.
