Ruth Elaine Savage Billings passed away peacefully on August 24,

2025 at the age of 88. Her life was a testament to the enduring power

of family and devotion, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

For over 60 years, Elaine and her beloved husband, Jack, built a life

together that exemplified the strength of love and commitment. Their

marriage was a shining example of partnership, resilience, and

unwavering dedication, inspiring generations of their family to cherish

the bonds of kinship. Together, they created a legacy of warmth, unity,

and unconditional love.

Elaine dedicated most of her adult life to nurturing her family. Her

home was a haven of laughter, wisdom, and comfort, where she

welcomed her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even

great-great-grandchildren with open arms and a generous heart.

She found joy in the simple moments-sharing stories, preparing

meals, celebrating milestones with her loved ones, and having a good

cup of coffee. Her kindness and strength were a guiding light, teaching

those around her the true meaning of family and the importance of

standing by one another through life's joys and challenges.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, William (Jack) Billings

her son Jack Elaine Billings; her parents, Houston and Louvenia

Savage; brothers, Louis Savage, Elmo Savage, Benjamin Savage,

and Houston Savage Jr, and sisters, Eula Storey, Inez McWinnie,

Louise Miller, Doris Hodges, and Lillian Pylant.

Elaine is survived by her sons and their spouses, Michael Billings and

Kevin Dawson, David and Jackie Billings, Jeffery and Claire

Billings; Her grandsons and their spouses, Joshua and Vanessa

Billings, Johnathan and Beryl Billings; Her granddaughters, Crystal

Billings, Casey and husband Garrett Powell, Lisa Billings, and Jessika

Davis. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Britni,

Nathan, Christopher, Sawyer, Jace, Liam, Thea, and Conway, and a

great-great-grandmother to Howard and Levi.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove,

Louisiana. Burial services will follow at New Hope Church of God Cemetery (Unity Cemetery) on Highway 577 Pioneer, LA.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Saturday at Cox Funeral Home.

Elaine's legacy of love and compassion will forever be cherished by all

who had the pleasure of knowing her. She leaves behind a world

enriched by her laughter and willingness to help anyone.
