PIONEER, LA - Funeral services for Ima Jean (Phillips) Hendrix, age 83 of Pioneer, Louisiana will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at New Prospect Baptist Church in the Bearskin Community near Pioneer.
Reverend Robbin Cox will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Epps Cemetery in Epps, Louisiana.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 9 PM on Monday, August 18, 2025 at New Prospect Baptist Church in the Bearskin Community near Pioneer, Louisiana.
Mrs. Hendrix passed into eternal life on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Floyd Hendrix; father, William Jesse Phillips; mother, Zettie Mae (Jordan) Phillips; daughter, Lisa Nell Hendrix; grandson, Patrick Hendrix; brother, Bill Phillips; sister, Dianne Williamson; son-in-law, David Womack; and daughter-in-law, Donna Maples.
Mrs. Hendrix is survived by her son, Rusty Maples of Zachary, Louisiana; daughter, Kaye Womack of Forest, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Mark & D Lo Hendrix of Springfield, Tennessee; daughter, Tracey Hendrix of Pioneer, Louisiana; sister, Bonnie McDowell of Bastrop, Louisiana; brother, Edward Phillips of Midland, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
Pallbearers are: Kevin Nissen, Daniel Stacy; Robbie Simmons, Alan Foster, Chris Lingefelt, and T. C. Boyte.
Grandsons will be Honorary Pallbearers.
