Ruth Brady Obituary
RUTH R. BRADY
Ruth R. Brady, 86, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Marion Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM in the church sanctuary. The service will be streamed live on the Richardson Funeral Home (Marion, SC) Facebook page for those unable to attend.
Mrs. Brady was born in Centenary, a daughter of the late Gussie Capps Richardson and Jessie Calhoun Richardson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William A Brady and a daughter, Aimee J. Marshall; and her siblings, Venia Brown, Gladys Wallace, J.M. Richardson, Norman Leighton Richardson and J.C. Richardson. Mrs. Brady started working at First Charter Insurance Company in 1954, and worked her way up the ladder eventually buying the business in 1980. She earned many awards from community organizations over the years. Mrs. Brady was also a long time member of Marion Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children: Dallis Brady of Little River, SC , Patrick M. Brady (Beth) of Marion, SC, Ashley Brady (Rebecca) of Marion, SC, and Olivia C. Johnson of Aynor, SC; grandchildren: Heath Brady, Dain Brady, Kayla Marie Williamson, Rebecca Causey, Haley Katherine Brady, Lexie Anne Brady, Laura Ashley Brady, Saylor Kye Johnson, Haven Ridge Johnson, Levi Stuart Johnson; and Great grandchildren William Brice Brady, Grayson Connor Brady, Liam Averie Brady, Rhame Edward Brady, Aubrie Peyton Brady, Desirae Messer, and Levi Quinn Causey; and a sister, Eshter Sawyer of Marion.
