Ruth Marolyn Brintnall, a much-loved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, was welcomed into her heavenly home on Friday, November 14, 2025. Ruth was born on September 26, 1930, to the Rev. Arnold and Mary Lansberry, and spent her early childhood in Glassport, Pennsylvania.

In 1941, Ruth and her family moved to Sharon Center, Ohio, where she attended school, being active in many activities including choir, concert band, cheerleading, church activities, and 4-H, graduating from Sharon High School in 1948. During this time, she met her future husband, Donald Brintnall, at the Medina County Fair. In 1951, Ruth graduated from the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland with her Registered Nursing Degree, and a week later married the love of her life, Don, on September 1, 1951, with her father, the Rev. Arnold Lansberry, officiating. They were married for 50 Golden years, raising their children on the Brintnall dairy farm.

Ruth was blessed and survived by daughters Carol (Brian) Neff, Jean (David) Marvin, and son David (Karen) Brintnall. She was the proud grandmother of Adam (Natalie) Neff, Matthew (Sarah) Neff, Abby Auman, Samantha (Steve) Gunkelman, Kyle (Melissa Rohrs) Marvin, and Timothy, Keith, and Daniel Brintnall. Ruth was also loved by "Great Gramma Ruth's Great Eight" including Noah and Sara Jean Auman, Mitchell and Caleb Neff, Jackie and Nate Gunkelman, and Allie and Madzie Neff, her great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald, in 2002; devoted parents; her in-laws, Howard and Bertha Brintnall; her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Harold and Ruth Ringstmeier, and Roger and Martha Brintnall.

During her lifetime, Ruth worked as an RN at Medina General Hospital for 42 years, sang together with Don in the York United Methodist Church choir and the Medina County Chorus, and was also the church organist and choir director at York for 46 years. Active in many church committees at York, including teaching Sunday School, the United Methodist Women, organizing dinners, helping with bazaars, bake sales, and devotions, Ruth truly served her community and loved her church family. She worked as a poll worker for elections for York Township. With Don, she was a member of the York Home Builders Farm Bureau for many years. She and Don loved to play cards with friends, square dance, sing, and travel. She loved gardening and flowers and taking care of others.

Ruth's life will be celebrated with calling hours from 4 to 8 pm, at the Waite Funeral Home, Medina, on Tuesday, November 18th, and from 10 to 11 am. on Wednesday, November 19th, at the York United Methodist Church, 6566 Norwalk Road, Medina. The Celebration of Life Funeral service led by The Rev. Abby Auman and The Rev. Mike Ward will be held at 11:00 a.m., at York UMC, with internment following at the York Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to York United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

Ruth's family would like to thank the caring staff at Medina Meadows Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Home for the many ways loving care was given to her during the past three years. Memories and condolences may be left at www.waitefuneralhome.com.
