Ruth Ann Cameron Cox

Ruth Ann Cameron Cox, 89, of Broadway passed away Monday March 3, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 8, 2025, at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home at 2pm. Family will receive friends beginning at 1pm before the service. Burial will follow at Broadway Town Cemetery.

Ruth was born in Lee Co., a daughter of the late James Cameron and Sarah Ann McNeil Cameron. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a great cook and enjoyed doing work around her home, tending to her garden, and playing cards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Calvin Cox Sr.; son Calvin Cox Jr; and siblings James Cameron Jr., John Hugh Cameron, Charles Cameron, and Catherine Adcock.

She is survived by her son Gregory Lynn Cox; daughter Cynthia Bussey (Robert); grandchildren Preston Cox (Abby), Drew Cox (Catherine), and Owen Bussey (Anzhi); great grandchildren Freya, Lennon, Oliver, and Avery; and sisters Rachel Lewis, Frances Regan, and Barbara Jean Hester.
