Ruth Carson lived a life defined by generosity, creativity, and deep devotion to her family and community. For more than 25 years, she gave her time and heart as a volunteer with Feed My People, quietly serving others with compassion and humility. Adventurous and capable, Ruth once manned a fire tower in Custer, South Dakota with her toddler by her side, a testament to her strength, independence, and love for her children. She expressed her creativity through crafting and ceramics, finding joy in making beautiful things with her hands. Ruth lovingly sewed many of her young children's clothes, stitching care and patience into every piece, and her kitchen was the heart of the home-where she was known, without question, as the best cook ever. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she nourished, the family she cherished, and the love she shared so freely.
