Ruth Helen Seafler Comer, age 97, of Woodbury passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Grandview Assisted Living. She was born on July 20, 1928 in Charleston, WV to her parents, the late Jasper Earl Seafler & Margaret Eleanor Lutton Seafler.

She is survived by her children, Clarence (Susan) Comer of Colleyville, TX, David (Gwen) Comer of Rockwall, TX, & Suzette (Kenny) Sanderfer of Murfreesboro; Grandchildren, Kevin, Kyle (Henna), Cole, & Owen Comer, Christine (Keith) Roach, Kody (Jennifer) Sanderfer, & Kate (John) Harvill; Great Grandchildren, Ryan Roach, Ross (Sophia) Roach, Nico Espinosa, Luca Espinosa, Kaia (Nico) Bonthuys, Kamryn (Eliel) Sanderfer, & Micah Sanderfer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Lee Comer; and her brother, Wade Seafler.

Ms. Comer was a member of the Baptist Church and was a housewife, bookkeeper, and wonderful mother. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible School at her church.

Memorial Services will be at 4:30 pm Thursday, April 2, 2026 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Memorial Visitation will be from 3 pm to 4:30 pm at Woodbury Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buckner Children & Family Services, 6358 Phelan Blvd., Beaumont, TX 77706.
