I remember Carl & Ruthie from CR's. They had very good food and ran it thoroughly. I'm sorry for your loss. Prayers for the family.

I associate the words "gracious" and "kind" whenever I think of Auntie Ruthie. She always welcomed us into the home she shared with Uncle Carl whenever we were in Jacksonville, and made a real effort to keep up with the comings and goings of the "Yankee" branch of the family tree via social media. She also had a great sense of humor, part of the warmth that drew people to her. Mostly, though, I remember how much she loved her family - from her deep and abiding affection for Carl, to her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and more. Whenever I would ask about family, Ruthie's entire face lit up. I'll miss that light, and I'll keep the family in my prayers.

I am heartbroken by your loss! Ruthie was an angel on earth; one of the kindest, most caring people I knew! Thank you for allowing Ruthie & Hugh Sweeney, my family, and me opportunities to spend time with you all at your home in Jacksonville. Treasured time spent in Massachusetts with Ray & Glady's families. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers!
Love, Karen

Prayers to Brian and all the family. CR's was a must almost every night Brian and I worked (at least for me). Its what we leave behind that matters and the memories she gave me and the city of Jacksonville will be forever. RIP "Ruthie"

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. I have very fond memories of Ruthie, one of the first ones is when she would pick me up on a Friday night after work in that beautiful Corvette so Brian and I could hang out. Then when Brian and I went to sign up for Saturday morning bowling, Ruthie and my Mom took the reins and before we knew we had a team. So many more.
