B. Ruth DeVos
Ruth DeVos, 94, of Port St. Lucie, FL went to rest in the arms of Jesus November 8, 2023 surrounded by her children.
Ruth married her high school sweetheart, John DeVos Jr on Sept 13, 1952 and they remained married until his passing.
Ruth loved going to church, dancing and fishing. Ruth was a loveable soul with a heart of Gold. Her devotion to her husband, children, and God will live in our hearts forever and she will be truely missed. Ruth also took pride in helping people, and served others as an LPN and Realtor.
Ruth will be dearly missed by her devoted children, Karen (DeVos) Criswell & husband Jim, Kevin DeVos & wife Deanna, Karl DeVos & wife Paula, and Kathy (DeVos) Slusser & husband Brian. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Michelle (DeVos) Byriel & husband Jason, Vanessa (Criswell) Seymour & husband Michael, Karl DeVos Jr, Kimberly Slusser, Brian Slusser Jr. & wife Jessica, and Conner Slusser. She was predeceased by her husband, John DeVos Jr, grandson, Matthew Slusser, Mom, Grace Dykstra, Brothers, Richard, Lambert, Jacob, & Henry Dykstra, and Sister, Margaret (Dykstra) Voogd.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 12PM to 2PM with a service to start at 2PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984. A graveside service will be conducted Monday, November 20, 2023 at 11AM at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.
