Ruth Madeline Doran

Ruth Madeline Doran, age 96, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024.
She is survived by her children, John (Maxine) Doran, David (Mary Anne) Doran, Michael (Joanne) Doran and Christine (Dave) George; grandchildren Kellie Krych, Lynn (Eric) Jones, Steven (Meredith) Doran, Patrick (Stacey) Doran, Caley (Eric) Nyberg, Matthew Doran, Kevin (Kelly) Doran, Kari (Hunter) Rudisill, Kayla (Devin) Walker, JP George, Maddy George, Rett George and Bella George; great-grandchildren Lexi, Jake, Will, Dublin, Dylan, Teagan, Logan, David, Rowan, Holden, Riley and Eliot.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of almost 65 years, John Ambrose Doran Jr. Jack and Ruth met in high school, when Jack ran up the steps and Ruth, a member of the safety guard, turned him in for his infraction. The rest was history.
Jack and Ruth married after graduation and started a family, living in three states: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Cleveland, Ohio and Naples, Florida.
Ruth was the ultimate homemaker, making sure her house was neat and clean and staying involved in her children's activities. She worked at the school as a lunch lady- making sure everyone got the exact same dessert.
Ruth went back to school later in life and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was involved in private home care and crocheted countless baby blankets while she watched over her patients while on overnight duty.
She will be remembered for her perfectly pinned curls and her infectious smile, which always shined the brightest when she was surrounded by her family.
A visitation for Ruth will be held at Busch Funeral Home, 21369 Center Ridge Rd., Fairview Park, Ohio, 44116 on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2025, with a private burial. Dates to be determined.
