Ruth Marie Drown, died on August 31, 2025, at the Minneapolis Health and Rehabilitation in Minneapolis, KS. She was born in Randolph, KS to Carl and Naomia (Gassert) Bulk on February 17, 1937. Ruth grew up in Riley County. She attended Belgrade, Sweet Creek, Cleburne and Bala Schools. Ruth graduated from Riley Rural High School. She married Duane Drown on July 8, 1956. They made their home on a farm in rural Lamar, KS. Ruth worked hard alongside her husband milking cows and taking care of other duties on the farm. She kept busy gardening and canning her produce. In 1995 they moved to Salina, KS and Ruth worked as a dietary aide at College Park and the Salina Presbyterian Manor, where she retired. After retiring Ruth volunteered at the Presbyterian Manor and the Salvation Army until 2020. Ruth enjoyed sewing, needle point and quilting. One of her quilts even placed in the Kansas State Fair. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Duane; sons, Gail and Dale Drown; brothers, Royce, Bob and Don Bulk; sister, Dorcile Moon; granddaughter, Jennifer.

Daughter: Norma (Charles) Gilbert of Burlington, KY

Daughter: Susan (Jerry) Leidig of Salina, KS

Daughter: Nancy (Jerry) Gisi of Miltonvale, KS

Brother: Vern Bulk of Riley, KS

12 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren

Funeral Services: Friday, September 5, 2025, at 11:00AM at the Bennington Bible Church in Bennington, KS

Minister: Pastor Jordan Stevens

Burial: Hall Wesleyan Cemetery, Delphos,

Visitation: September 5, 2025, from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the Bennington Bible Church, Bennington, KS

Memorials: Can be made to the Minneapolis Health Care and Rehabilitation c/o the funeral home
