Ruth Ann Fisher

1944 - 2025

Ruth Ann (Little) Fisher, 80, of Big Run, passed away at home on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025.
She was born in McKeesport on Sept. 3, 1944, a daughter of the late Charles Little and Maude Emma (Bowers) Little.
Ruth had previously worked as an aide at Stellabuto's Personal Care Home in Punxsutawney. She led a simple, content life, finding joy in the love and laughter of her family. She always enjoyed cooking for the holidays and having the family together.
Ruth found great comfort and companionship in her dog buddy, followed by her new girl Lucy, whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by two sons, Eugene Fyock of Punxsutawney and Harvey Fyock of Big Run; three grandchildren, Shaylyn (Brad) Brown, Eugene P. Fyock III and Chloey Fyock; one great-granddaughter, Serena Brown; one brother, James Little of Florida; and two sisters, Cathy (Daryl) Lettie of Porter and Charlotte Miller of DuBois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Howard, Charles and Samuel Little; two sisters, Betty Cressley and Susan Merryman.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, 2025, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Bowers Cemetery, Mill Road, Punxsutawney.
