Ruth E. Frey

Ruth E. Frey, 92, of Germansville, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Cedar Crest Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was married to Wayne A. Frey for 71 years this past February. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Helen (Sechler) Breininger.

She was a Teacher's Aide at Northwestern Lehigh Elementary School for several years and a Secretary for the Wayne Frey Insurance Agency for 40 years. Ruth was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ in New Tripoli where she also sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and networked in prayer chains for many decades. She was also a member of the Ontelaunee Lions Club and a volunteer at the Germansville Fire company for many decades. She was also an avid gardener and crafter and made the best PA Dutch filling around.

Survivors: husband, Wayne, children, Beverly Handwerk (Michael) of Germansville, Karen Frey (Janet Gilbert) of Whitehall and Steven Frey (Beverly) of New Tripoli; grandchildren, Jessica, Craig, Michael, Jr., and Megan; great grandchildren, Parker and Marloe, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Anna Rupp and Cleonice Borman.

The Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 30 at Ebenezer U.C.C., 7293 Decatur St, New Tripoli, with a visitation from 10 to 11 AM in the Church. Interment, Church Cemetery.
