Ruth Frisbie Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 25, 2024.
Frisbie, Ruth E., 79, longtime resident of Bethpage passed away unexpectedly September 24, 2024. Loving mother of Kathleen Kerrigan (Thomas), Patricia Frisbie (José Piña) and Linda Coombs (Stephen). Adored grandmother of Patrick, Gabrielle, Chloe, Grason, Nora and Brendan. Treasured sister of Frances Kraus and the late Joseph Kraus Jr. (Pamela). Dear aunt of Joseph Kraus III, James Kraus, and Jill Lanigan. Ruth was truly one of a kind. She was fiercely independent, strong-willed, intelligent, loving, giving, and intuitive. Ruth was a true Leo having the amazing capability of reading people; she had a finesse about her that was unexplainable. Although when she had that gut instinct about something, she didn't have a "poker face" or the capability to not speak her mind. Ruth was proud to be from Bethpage and took great pride in her community, owning countless Bethpage shirts, which she would often be sporting. Her family would joke saying she only loved Bethpage because she was so directionally and technologically challenged that she couldn't go anywhere else. Ruth loved to have fun, enjoying being in the sun, gardening, crafting, shopping on QVC, watching Bob Ross and her cooking shows. Ruth had a very close relationship with her sister, Frances, they would often refer to each other as their "fiduciaries", because of their knowledge of each other's secrets. Ruth was the social center of her family, always hosting the family parties; she never stressed and went to great lengths to bring everyone together. Ruth's family meant the world to her, and she loved spending any moment she could with them. Her special presence will be forever missed. The family will receive visitors Friday, September 27th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral service Saturday, September 28th, 10 am at the funeral home. Interment following at Greenfield Cemetery, Uniondale. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Ruth's memory to a charity of your choice.
