Ruth Naomi Gollaher, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on January 1, 2026, at Camelot Nursing and Rehab in Farmington, at the age of 88. She was born in Annapolis to the late Harry and Dorcy (Stevenson) Midkiff.
Ruth is survived by her children, Joseph Ralph Gollaher (Cathy), Ruth Ann Daly, and Steven Ray Gollaher (Tammy); her grandchildren, Brian Yarbrough, Tina Dicus (Chris), Lorine Lopez (Genaro), Patricia Gollaher, Terri Ann Kukuljan (Ed), Charlie Daly (Heather), Skyler Gollaher, Chase Gollaher, Brenner Gollaher, and Bryson Gollaher; fifteen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Earl Midkiff (Anna Lou), Olen Midkiff (Linda), and David Midkiff; and her sisters, Mae Staples and Sharon Lloyd.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Ralph Emmen Gollaher Sr.; her son, Ralph Emmen Gollaher Jr.; her daughter, Patricia Ann Marshall; and her son-in-law, Chuck Daly.
Ruth worked for Washington Franklin School for 18 years as a dedicated cook, where she took pride in caring for students and staff through her work. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and especially loved serving in the church nursery, where she found great joy caring for children. Ruth will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her strong faith, and her gentle, giving heart.
A visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Farmington on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Greg Robinson.
