Ruth Haney

Ruth Haney, of Grayson, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was born May 5 in Carter County; a daughter of the late George and Etta Gee Menix.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, David Haney; a daughter, Brenda Haney; three brothers, Van, Willie, and Marvin Menix; three sisters, Cleo Gentry, Lorene Alexander, and Clara Sears; a granddaughter, Robin Bradford.
Ruth was of the Christian faith and a member of the Glory Hill Community Church. She was a businesswoman on Main Street in Grayson as the owner of Haney's Jewelry for over sixty years. She was a trailblazer for independent businesswomen and a pillar in the Community.
She is survived by a son, Paul Ray (Pam) Haney of Grayson; a daughter, Carol Lynn (Bobby) James of Grayson; three grandchildren, Patricia McCleese, Amber Hope James, and Brian (Dena) Felty; four great-grandchildren, Kaylor (Jeremiah) Raymond, Brody, and Taryn McCleese, Kade (Macey) Felty; two great-great-grandchildren, Joshua Raymond and Selah Felty.
Ruth's memories will be cherished by many who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sparks Funeral Home, Lester Bowling, minister. Burial will follow in the Haney Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
