Ruth Hill, age 101, passed away on November 26, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on September 3, 1924, in Paris, Idaho.
Ruth married the love of her life, James LaVere Hill. She had a passion for gardening, but her greatest joy was the memorable trips she took to Wendover with her son Glen and his wife Becky, where she often returned home a winner. Above all, Ruth’s proudest achievement was raising her four children, whom she cherished deeply.
Ruth is survived by her children: Ron (Kathy), Paul (Sue), Glen (Becky), and Shauna (Jeff) Ericson; her nine grandchildren; and her fourteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James LaVere Hill, and her grandson, Joshua Hill.
Family and friends may visit at a viewing on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:45 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, at the same location.
