Ruth was born on March 04, 1948, to parents George and Marie Hobson. Ruth spent her career working as a short-order cook at Schaefers Canal House and Country Kitchen restaurant. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flower beds; known to many as one of the Iris Ladies, she loved her dogs, especially Snickers.
Preceded in death by her parents, George P. Hobson and Bertha Marie Hobson. Ruth is survived by her sisters Caroline Hobson (Middletown, DE), Betty Baker and her husband George Baker (Quarryville, PA), her brother Lawrence Hobson, as well as 1 nephew and 1 great niece.
Ruth will be laid to rest with a graveside service, to be held on Wednesday, August 13th at 11 am at Forest Cemetery in Middletown, DE.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N Broad St., Middletown, DE 19709, (302) 378-3410.
