Ruth Claire Huck, age 92, of Pittsburgh, PA, went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2025. She was fiercely devoted to her family - son David, daughter Heidi, grandson Noah, and their rescue dogs, Izzy and Bella. Known to many of her friends as “The Silver Fox” for her youthful appearance and zest for life, she leaves behind many who love her as much as her family. Ruth was hard-working, humble, had an infectious laugh, and was a loyal and dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on May 23, 1933 to the late Andrew and Dorothy Riedel, she is survived by her brother, Robert Riedel, children David and Heidi, and beloved grandson Noah. A member of Wallace Memorial Church (now Unity), she had a strong faith and instilled that in her family. She sung in the church choir and met many lifelong friends at church. A longtime employee at Marshall’s department store, she had a keen sense of fashion and always looked classy and stylish. Ruth was philanthropic and giving back was important to her and her family. The Salvation Army and animal rescues were two of her favorite organizations.
