A beloved mother, Ruth Anne Price Jensen, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, at her home in Salt Lake City, surrounded by some of her close family and friends. She died less than two weeks before her 75th birthday.
Anne was born on October 23, 1950, to Rulon Price and Lea Christensen. She grew up in Idaho Falls, spending much of her time with family and friends, and developing a deep respect and appreciation for reading. She had a particular love for the classics, from Victor Hugo to Jane Austen.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a lifelong love for the gospel. She loved the Book of Mormon and had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ until the end. She served a mission for the Church in Taiwan, where she learned to speak Mandarin Chinese. She developed a great love for the people she served and served with in Taiwan. She trained to be a hairstylist, working in salons, at her home, and in others’ homes for many years. Many family, friends, and neighbors enjoyed their sessions with Anne and the talks they had as she cut and styled their hair. She loved raising her three sons in the Los Angeles area and later in Salt Lake City. She also absolutely loved spending time with her grandson Gabriel, and they had many good times together throughout the years. Once her boys had grown, she went back to college at the University of Utah. She was so happy there and graduated with a degree in English with a TESOL certificate. She then worked for JetBlue for ten years and enjoyed traveling around the US to some of her favorite spots, such as Key West and Southern California. She loved England and was able to travel there on a few different occasions. In her later years, she enjoyed living in Downtown SLC and treasured her continued associations with family and friends.
She is survived by her three sons, Parker (Ingrid), Niels, and Erik, her sisters Rosemary and Angela, her brother Jackson, and her grandson Gabriel. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lea Christensen, her father, Rulon Price, and her brothers, David and Joseph Price.
A celebration of her life will be held on October 23, 2025, at the home of Tane and Valerie Wanlass at 7:30 p.m., 13587 S Moose Ridge Circle, Riverton, UT 84065.
