With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bonnie Jean Basham, who departed this life on October 11, 2025, at the age of 76.
Bonnie was born on November 4, 1948, to Aubrey Murray and Hazel Ronella Munsell. On November 22, 1967 she married the love of her life, Keith Basham, beginning a marriage that would span 44 years - filled with devotion, laughter, teamwork and family. Together they raised five children and built a home known for its warmth, welcome and open doors to all.
In the early years, Bonnie could be found on the baseball and softball fields, keeping score from the sidelines and manning the snack bar with a smile, cheering on her husband as he coached their children as they played. Whether keeping stats or passing out candy, she was a fixture at the games and a vital part of the community.
Bonnie and Keith raised their family in Utah until relocating to Las Vegas in 2000. She spent many years working at Purolator Products before transitioning to the gaming industry after their move. In both careers, she was known for her work ethic, dedication and friendly spirit.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Keith; her son, Robert; daughter, Pamela; granddaughter Hailey and many other cherished family members. She is survived by her daughter, Julie, sons Peter (Lori) and Brett (Vanessa), 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Cemetery, 4335 W 4100 S., West Valley City, Utah. A light luncheon will follow from 1:30 p.m to 4:30 p.m at Pioneer Hall, 7800 S 1137 West, Midvale, Utah, where family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of Bonnie's beautiful life.
She will be remembered for her open heart, her devotion to her family, and the joy she found in life's simplest pleasures. Bonnie's love will remain with us always.
