Ruth L. Kinnucan, age 80 was born in Muskegon, Michigan on November 6, 1944, to the late Charles Joseph and Alice Mae (DeWitt) Herbert and passed away on July 4, 2025. Along with her parents Ruth was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Robert. Survivors include her children, Tina Lutman, Joe (Sherry) Kinnucan, Lisa (Tom) Mrizek, Michelle Kinnucan, Matt (Pam) Kinnucan; grandchildren, Bill, Noah, Emma K, Emma T, Ila, Lindsay, Nick, Juliet, and Benjamin; great-grandchildren, Amelia, Dylan and Finn.
Ruth was a retired supervisor from the State of Michigan Department of Social Services and spent 25 years working with H & R Block as a tax preparer. She was the treasurer of the West Michigan Chapter of the Brain Injury Association of Michigan and a longtime member of the Women's Division of the Chamber of Commerce. Ruth was an avid BINGO player and baseball fan of both the Detroit Tigers and the Muskegon Clippers. She enjoyed spending time with her card playing friends and many other family and friends she held dear.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held later. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ruth's memory to the West Michigan Chapter of the Brain Injury Association. Checks payable to "WMBIA" c/o Doug Knowlton. Please mail to 468 W.
