Ruth Janet LeComte

Ruth Janet LeComte, 81, a devoted mother and caregiver, peacefully passed away on July 20th, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, surrounded by her loving family at home. Born on January 22nd, 1944, in Springfield, Ohio, she was a daughter of Everette and Myrtle Walters. Ruth dedicated her life to being a loving caregiver to her spouse, Jim, her mom, Myrtle, her three children, step-children, friends, and neighbors.

Ruth's greatest joy came from gardening in her garden in Arkansas, taking care of her dog, Lady, being a caregiver to to others, going fishing, and spending time listening to the Bible every night. Her favorite song was "I Asked The Lord" by Johnny Lange and Jimmy Duncan.

She is survived by her children: Gary LeRoy Rector (spouse: Sarah Rector), Rebecca Ruth Rector, and Darrin Rector (spouse: Anita Rector), grandchildren: Linnea Rector, Steven Posey (spouse: Aynsley Posey), Christopher Posey, and Danielle Posey, great grandchildren: Lyrik Posey and Michael Palomarez, and her siblings: Mary Purkey and Rossie Lamb (spouse: Jimmie Lamb).

In lieu of flowers or donations, the family encourages acts of kindness in Ruth's memory by being a senior companion for those in need, volunteering at a local elderly care center, assisted living, hospital, church, or a homeless shelter.
