She was proceeded in death by her father John Thomas Lewis and her mother Mary Ellen Johnson Lewis. One sister Thomesina Lockette of Rockaway, NY and one brother Postell Lewis of Pendleton, SC.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her four beautiful daughters: Myra Lewis of Pendleton, SC, Sharonda Lewis of Fayetteville, GA, Audrey Lewis of Pendleton, SC, and Nichole (Ty) Byrd of Colorado. Two sisters Brenda F. (Ernest) Williams of Anderson, SC, Josephine A. Maddox of Pendleton, SC. Three brothers, Willie "Bill" (Doris) Lewis of Anderson, SC, John D. Lewis of Columbia, SC and James B. (Marietta) Lewis of Anderson SC; A special nephew/son Joshua Lewis of Anderson, SC and a special niece/daughter Angela Lewis of Townville, SC,. (4) grandchildren, One great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Ms. Lewis will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Mt. Able Baptist Church, Pendleton, SC. Interment will follow in the church's cemetery.
Public Viewing: Friday, November 22, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Unity Mortuary of Anderson.
The family is at 727 Greenville Street, Lot 5, Pendleton, SC 29670.

Well, I have many memories of Mama Ruth. She always had the best advice for anything you may have been going through. She welcomed me with open arms EVERYTIME I saw her. She would "put me in place" if necessary I'm grateful for it, FOREVER. I knew that she was going through some health issues but that doesn't make this any easier at all I loved you on earth and I will love you forever as you rest is the arms of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Please look down on us all. Send signs to us so we know you hear us speaking to you in paradise. I love you with all my heart and soul. Rest well Ma!,
