Ruth Lipinski Obituary

Ruth Marie Lipinski, age 80, of Shaler Township, passed away surrounded by her family on January 28, 2025. She was the loving mother of Robert (Jamie Cutwright) Lipinski, Jr., Michelle (Werner) Loehlein, Brian (Stephanie) Lipinski, Christine Lipinski and Adam (Judy) Lipinski; Proud grandmother of Amanda Lipinski, Matthew Lipinski, Vanessa Lipinski, and Cody Lipinski; Great-grandmother of Adaylia Klemencic, Saoirse Klemencic and Thaddeus Klemencic; Daughter of the late Helen and Daniel McPeak; She was the loving sister of Joan, Naomi, Joseph, Carol, Kathy, Daniel, and the late James, Bernard, Eileen and Helen; She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cherished friends and neighbors.

Ruth was a graduate of Mt. Alvernia High School. She graduated from St Francis Nursing School with an associate degree in nursing, as well as Chatham College with a bachelor's degree in nursing and Carlow College with her Master's degree in nursing. She had a lifelong career in nursing working at St Francis Hospital and UPMC Passavant, where she made a close-knit group of friends. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, receiving certificates from Phipps Conservatory for her arranging and gardening skills. Ruth spent a lot of time watching her sons race at the dirt track, she loved dinners with her co-workers and friends, and family gatherings like the annual St. Patrick's dinners, Oktoberfest, and Christmas gatherings where she would talk with family for hours.

Friends and family received Friday, January 31, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, at 10:00 AM at St Bonaventure Church, St. Matthew Parish, with Fr. Jim Marzurek officiating. Interment to follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
