Ruth Matthews Obituary
Ruth Jean Matthews, age 87, passed away peacefully at her home on May 15, 2025. She was born August 20, 1937 in Wheelersburg, Ohio to Arthur Morrison and Reba Hutchinson. Ruth retired from GM, where she worked 30 years at Fisher Guide and 17 years at Eddie Bauer. She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, playing cards, and going to the casino. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, and her son James Wheeler. She is survived by her husband Karl Creighton, daughter Vivan Owens (Terry), sons Mark Wheeler (Mary) and Ronald Peters (Tami), many grandchildren and great children, special grandchild Amanda Peters, her loves of her life Wyatt, Enola, and Wayne, and her two long time friends Donna and Marcie.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 W Broad St, Galloway, OH 43119.
