Ruth is survived by her son, Todd (Melissa) McCarthy of Morris, PA; daughters, Lucinda "Cyndy" (Alvin) Brown of Wellsboro, PA, and Karen (Jeffrey) Potts of Minersville, PA; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; sister, Brenda (Bill) Dennison of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Phyllis Root and Deborah Emmick.
In accordance with Ruth's wishes, there will be no services. Donations may be made in Ruth's name to Second Chance Animal Sanctuary, 725 Gee Rd., Tioga, PA 16946. Burial will take place in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Morris, PA. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA is assisting the family. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
