Ruth M. Mays, 90, of Reedsville, died Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Meigs ER.
Born July 17, 1934, in Silverton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Fozzie Lando and Effie Francis Ingram Rhodes. Ruth was a graduate of Chester High School and worked at Arcadia Nursing Home in Coolville for many years. She was a member of the Joppa Church, enjoyed reading romance novels and spending the day with her bird Dinky.
Ruth is survived by six sons, Steve (Robberta) Mays, Jackson Mays, John (Joni) Mays, Richard Mark Mays, Kenneth Lee Mays and Robert Mays; one daughter, Connie Lou Comusize; many grand, great grand and great great grandchildren and many cousins including Ina VanMeter.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alonzo Orman Mays in 2003; three sisters, Edith, Hester and Lucille and one brother, Forrest “Buck” Rhodes.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the Success Cemetery. Friends are invited to sign the online guestbook at ehwfh.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Funeral Home in Coolville, Ohio.
