Ruth F. McFarland, 90 of Manchester, NH died Friday August 29, 2025 at Villa Crest Nursing Home in Manchester. Ruth was born in Brockton, MA on May 24, 1935, a daughter of the late George and Marie (Lewis) Loring.

She had lived in Jackson, NH, Florida, the Carolina's, Cape Cod, and more recently Manchester where she had lived for many years. Ruth had worked for Wang Labs as a computer educator. She served with the Chamber of Commerce in Jackson, NH, and was a volunteer at St. Jude’s Parish in Londonderry. Over the years Ruth enjoyed skating, golfing, horses, and skiing.

She is survived by her children, Kevin McFarland and his wife Amory DeMeo of York, ME, Lisa Wilson (wife of the late Paul Wilson) of E. Conway, NH, Lynne McFarland and her wife Janice Cirillo of Manchester, and Pamela McFarland and her husband Richard Greene of Londonderry, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and by three siblings, Robert Loring of Florida, Dorothy Bartlett of Virginia, and Jean Lawton of New Hampshire, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James T. McFarland in 2008, and also by her brother, George Loring, Jr. and her sister, Barbara Sullivan.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday September 3, 2025 from 8:30 – 9:30am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00am in St. Jude’s Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry with cremation to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
